Wow ! what a positive year 2014 has been, month after month the community of the church have been worshiping & working together to build the church body . It has been very heartening to see the effort & courage of our parishioners grow and take fruit in the big endeavour we face . The opening of the Cathedral for worship has been on most of our minds, every time we had a setback one person or another would step up to keep the momentum going. We have soldiered on getting over one hurdle after another. I for one am very thankful for God's good grace, in our efforts to make this, 'the Cathedral in the heart of the city'. While the cathedral building has been closed out church community has grown, sometimes filling our church hall to capacity. This is despite the fact that we are celebrating more services each Sunday and regular week day services on a Monday through to Thursday. We have seen our children's choir flourish with enthusiasm @ the regular 11 am Sunday service. Christmas saw our Juniors included in the hospital singing & as well @ the Carol service. It was very delightful to hear the young voices trilling away to the rafters. All in all it is with grateful prayer, one attends the communion service, fully aware of the grace we have been given, to continue to build our spiritual home . Some highlights were our reconciliation service held by the Dean, Very Reverend John Roundhill, another being his arrest in handcuffs for supporting the "Love Makes a Way" movement demonstrating against the children being kept in detention. It feels good to be worshipping with someone who cares enough, to stand up for his convictions . 2014 saw an increase of our Facebook family too. We have doubled the membership. The total of 200 was achieved @ Christmas. I can promise you it was a moment for quiet jubilation. Thank you friends & members for keeping in step with us through the year. Your support & encouragement has been greatly appreciated. The likes & comments you post in the Cathedral page, help us to move in the right direction. 2015. The new year the facebook page breaks new ground with an online Shop. so please click on St Paul's Bendigo Online shop. Again we are depending on volunteers to help us run this . We hope to post online Items which you as friends are happy to donate. We will not be buying any goods but any good items you have & would like to donate we would be very happy to sell online ! The page carries a post " St Pauls Bendigo - Online Shop is offering reasonably priced pre-loved treasures. It's run by volunteers. All revenue is to help the upkeep of the Cathedral " & will be operated from the church hall. Hope this meets with your best wishes & support from you all. Thanking you (F/B) s
