St. Therese is a co-ed Catholic elementary school in Aurora, Illinois. We offer an affordable Catholic education to students in Preschool through 8th Grade. We offer a FULL DAY ACADEMIC PRESCHOOL AND KINDERGARTEN. School Philosophy • We believe that we are to accept, respect, and share with one another as we foster an awareness of Jesus’ presence in our school community. • We believe that the message of Jesus must be imparted by the principal and faculty to the school community and the larger parish family. • We believe that our educational program must nurture a child of God spiritually, physically, and aesthetically, and that it requires strengthening and updating to provide academic excellence. • We believe that every child needs to feel responsibility for his/her own education. In 2009, we adopted the Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports program (PBIS). This program focuses on identifying and reinforcing positive behavior, not just punishing bad behavior. This helps children develop the desire to behave as well as supporting role models of good conduct. At St. Therese School, students are recognized for both good grades and good behavior.
