St Peter's Catholic Comprehensive School is a Roman Catholic academy and is run under the joint trusteeship of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Portsmouth and a religious order of teachers, the De La Salle Brothers.

Description

In 1963 the Diocese of Portsmouth responded to the expanding Catholic population in the Bournemouth area by opening a new Catholic Secondary School called St Thomas More to complement the existing St Peter’s School in Southbourne. In 1980 integration of the combining of the St Peter's (Southbourne), the St Thomas More and the Boscombe Convent schools took place intended to serve the interests of the wider Catholic community in Bournemouth. The school is currently called the St. Peters Lower School.
