Stars Restaurants was started by Jim Barrett in 1986. After practicing law for 10 years, co-founding a national fast food restaurant chain, and co-founding a group of banks, Jim Barrett decided to start Stars Restaurants. Now, more than 25 years later, Stars Restaurants LLC is a partner in over 35 independently owned restaurants in the state of Texas. Greg Barrett started working in the restaurants while in high school in the 1980s. In 1991 he graduated from Claremont McKenna College and started working for Stars Restaurants. Each Stars Drive-in Restaurant is independently owned and managed. Many of us have been partners for over 20 years and we all understand that the customer is the boss. Every month hundreds of thousands of people choose to eat at the various locations throughout Texas. We are honored every day that they choose us over all of our competitors.
