Founded in 1921, Straub Clinic & Hospital is a fully integrated not-for-profit health care system with a 159-bed hospital in Honolulu, a network of neighborhood clinics and a visiting specialist program that reaches throughout the state of Hawai‘i. The Queen’s Medical Center (QMC), located in downtown Honolulu, Hawaii, is a private, non-profit, acute care medical facility and the largest private hospital in Hawaii and the Pacific Basin. Established in 1859, QMC is the only hospital in the nation today with royal founders, Queen Emma and King Kamehameha IV. Today, over 150 years later, QMC is licensed for 505 acute care beds and 28 sub-acute beds.
