4 hours until I shut down my social media for 24 hours. Time to work! Then time to rest. The storm, before the calm...
They say it takes a village to raise a child. And seeing as my business is my 4th baby (after 3 wonderful sons) it also requires a village of people around me to run as it does. From time to time posts may appear with comments on them that appear to be "me" commenting on my own status/photo/link. The posts on this page are done mostly by me, but I do have an amazing long time and trust with my life sort of best friend who is an admin on this page to catch poor spelling, bad grammar, or general stoopid things I may not catch as I build this empire. So don't think I have lost my marbles and you've caught me commenting on my own statuses. You haven't. You have encountered an amazing, well read, well versed woman who catches every damn mistake I make. And I owe her dearly for doing so in such an amazing way! Much love to you my darling CityWife Sandra. I love you, as you know.
After an almost sleepless creative night, my new business cards are designed and printed! Heading to pick them up today! Today's advice. Momentum. When you have it. Keep it going.
Have just learned thanks to my childhood (and still a current) best friend Olivia that there are 40 days left of 2014. How. Cool. Is that. So my 30 documentaries in 30 days goal. I am upping it. Finish off 40 in the next 40 days. Why? Because it has been so good for me. It is good to learn. It is imperative to expand our base of knowledge. In part for compassion, in part for life style, in part for current happenings on planet earth. You know, the big green and blue oblate spheroid that we call home. I have also been inspired (unbeknownst to him) by a new friend from the T Dot to go all in with my business. To go big, or to go home. How does one accomplish this? Well. I have an idea. So here we go. I will be launching an eBay store, asap, for print sales. It has been a thought in the back of my mind for far too long. Riding on the excitement and accomplishment of having my work in a gallery show this week (Eek the excitement!!) seems like a good time. I will be shipping worldwide. And with Christmas coming, the holiday being celebrated in my beloved Vancouver, it seems fitting that I start with the release of a series of Vancouver prints. So I give you... Destination: Vancouver I will be posting an album here by the same name of the chosen series to start us off. Stay tuned. ~j
