The Susan E. Stutz-McDonald Scholarship Foundation has been established to provide scholarships to female students studying environmental engineering at various universities.
The Susan E. Stutz-McDonald Scholarship Foundation was formed in 2005 to honor her significant contributions to civil and environmental engineering. She spent her career at Carollo Engineers beginning in 1978 following her completion of Masters in Engineering-Waste Water Management. Susan served Carollo Engineers as Project Manager, Associate, Partner and a member of the Board of Directors. Susan had a unique passion for the water and wastewater industry, which manifested itself in the successful completion of numerous environmental projects. Her enthusiasm for her profession had a positive impact throughout our industry, as evident by the admiration, respect her colleagues had for her talents, and desire to advance the field of Environmental Engineering. Susan was dedicated to training and mentoring young engineers with a specific interest in promoting the achievements of women in the industry. As a means of advancing this goal, Susan's desire was to establish a Non-Profit Foundation for providing scholarships to women engineers to help expand their education and career in the environmental engineering field. Shortly after her passing in 2005, the Susan E. Stutz-McDonald Scholarship Foundation was established, to help accomplish Susan's goal.
