Sweet Dreams are made of Tea is devoted to all things vintage, original and elegant. Perfect as a centrepiece to parties, birthdays and weddings. Handmade vintage cake stands made from hand sourced vintage china. Beautiful bespoke gifts for friends, cute presents for family or as an indulgence for yourself. Vintage china has been hand selected and sourced then loving handmade in Yorkshire. The stand can be used as single, double or triple tiers, which offers plenty of space for scones, sandwiches, cupcakes, cakes, tarts .... or any sweet treat! The stand will look gorgeous on display when not in use, it could even be used as a elegant jewellery stand. Please note that the plates we use for making our cake stands are all genuinely vintage and pre-loved and therefore may show very slight signs of use. This does not detract at all from their beauty. Perfect drill holes are extremely hard to achieve by hand drilling – if there is any very slight irregularity in the drill hole, this will certainly not be visible once the stand is assembled. All vintage bone china should be very carefully hand washed in warm soapy water. Note on Vintage china and product construction: My plates are all carefully chosen and in good condition, however as you would expect with a vintage product these plates are old and have seen plenty of life, this means you will see some signs of wear especially to gilt edging, but that just makes them more interesting don't you think? You can also expect to see some irregularities around the drilled holes, these will however be covered by the washers when assembled. Packing and shipping: These cake stands are shipped disassembled. Your plates will be individually wrapped in bubble wrap with handles packaged in brown paper. Perfect as a gift, I package all my designs to be as beautiful on arrival as they are robust in transit!
