Swimming Direct is an Adelaide based swim school which travels to your home pool to deliver professional swimming lessons to you and/or your children. Swimming Direct is founded and operated by Liz Brown, who is also the head instructor. WHO DO WE TEACH: Babies, children, teens, adults & older, as well as people with an autism spectrum disorder (Asperger's, autism, HFA, PDD-NOS) or ADHD. WHERE ARE WE LOCATED: We travel to YOU. We teach professional and private swimming lessons in your very own home pool. Alternatively, we can hire private lane space in a commercial pool for those without a pool, and during the cooler months. WHAT DO WE TEACH: We teach basic water familiarity and safety, freestyle, backstroke, breastroke, butterfly, floats, turns, and dives. WHAT MAKES US DIFFERENT: The private lessons enable us to tailor your lessons to your needs without being restricted by a class structure. There are no distractions like there are with group lessons in a big pool, which results in much greater focus with better swimming outcomes. Private lessons in your own pool mean you don't need to worry about others watching your lessons, if this is bothersome for you. We have the ability to video (with your permission) your swimming, for greater understanding and awareness in order to improve your techniques. People with an ASD or ADHD struggle in group lessons, but THIRVE in private lessons - less distractions, and tailored to their exact needs, which often differ from the mainstream. Lessons in your home pool are great for parents - you save time and petrol, you have everything you need at home without worrying about packing bags, your children learn to be safe in their own pool, you can get other chores done or just enjoy relaxing while watching your gorgeous children swim outside in the quiet and peaceful surroundings.
