We offer beginner classes in Filipino, the national language of the Philippines. The term runs for 10 weeks and starts February, April, July & October.
Learning a second language opens up new dimensions. For young people in particular, it greatly benefits their reading and writing skills and contributes significantly to their ability to think and learn. It also gives us an opportunity to experience other cultures. Filipinos have a rich cultural heritage and we have the responsibility to make sure that the future generations will continue our traditions. Classes are being offered for children and adults. You may be a child of Filipino descent growing up here in Australia, or an Australian married to a Filipino/Filipina, or someone who may have an interest in the Philippines and the Filipino culture or even planning a trip to the Philippines. You will learn basic vocabulary, sentence construction, commonly used phrases and some Filipino culture. Each class has a minimum of 7 students and a maximum of 20. No book is required, all study materials are provided for you. The children has to be between Kindergarten - Year 12 of the current school year. For adults, there is no maximum age limit. For your peace of mind, our teachers have police clearance and Work with Children Check certificates. Reservations will be given priority to fully paid enrolments received on a “first come first served” basis. To enrol, please email tagalogschool@gmail.com or send us a private message here in Facebook. Interpreting and translation jobs are accepted as well.
