TAGbag is a start-up non-profit organization. Our mission is to activate the human desire to give by inspiring people to transform their communities.
Often times our individual needs take priority over the needs of the collective. Understanding that love is not selfish gives us an ability to awaken individuals and empower communities to become a resource for those in need. TAGbag embraces the value of social media and hashtags to create a community all across America that gives! TAG is also an acronym for “take a goody bag” and provides access to special bags that individuals can use toward the greater good. Through your contributions to TAGbag, we can become a community of “Taggers” and help people in a way we couldn’t as individuals. How does this process work? Donating to TAGbag gives you the option to receive a shipment of goody bags and empowers you to do whatever you want with them. By using the hashtag #mytagbag, we can connect and share our stories, experiences, and spread awareness about the vulnerbilties and growth in our communities. Co-founders Victoria and Rachel started TAGbag by creating survival bags for those suffering from homelessness, but now we want YOU to help us expand all the ways we can make a difference. Together we can change the way America perceives poverty, disability, and homelessness by fighting the stigma associated with it. Together we can create a space for abundant resources by asking ourselves “how can we help?” Taking responsibility for the shame inflicted in our communities instead of ignoring it, creates a radical difference, and it’s about time we validate and empower one another equally! What do you say? Are you ready to be a Tagger?

Happy Valentine's, friends! While everyone is out celebrating or staying in nice and warm, take a moment to appreciate not only the love you're receiving tonight, but the shelter and food you have access to. People waste so much money on Valentine's Day, they buy silly things like $100 bouquets of roses to prove their love, they feed into consumerism and exploit something so profound, celebrating love for all the wrong reasons. Love doesn't need to be proven, sure Valentine's Day is fun and it should be enjoyed, but love is always there and the only thing we should prove is our vulnerability and compassion toward ourselves and others. Tonight in Chicago it's dropping down to -1 degrees and in Detroit, -8. So many people won't make it into homeless shelters because they'll be full and hypothermia will take the lives of those who face homelessness, animals included. It's important to be grateful for what you have, especially on days like this. Whether you feel loved tonight or lonely, please be grateful for your food, shelter, and resources. Most importantly, send love to those who will need it the most tonight. ❤️
Happy New Years! This will be an awesome year...especially for TAGbag! 😉
TAGbag is still working endlessly to gather all the pieces before our launch! We've been trail blazing trying to get everything prepared, but we want to be honest with you along the way! We're still set to launch in the next couple of months, but holy cow there's so much work involved in starting a non-profit. Just recently, we gained an amazing volunteer named Rebecca! We're very excited to have her on board. Thanks for your ongoing support and we'll be in touch again soon.
TAGbag is at work finishing up its last round of private fundraising! Get ready to see us on Kickstarter next. We're so excited to show you our campaign video. Thanks for your support!
