This page is a companion site to the TENNESSEE ARTISAN HONEY BAR Indiegogo Crowdfunding campaign. I am a creamed honey artisan and beekeeper. My mission is to elevate your honey palette and increase your bee awareness with fun facts. As a purveyor of ARTISAN CREAMED HONEY; I transform small batches of raw, native Tennessee honey into flavor infused spreadable honey. Pair my Nashville-made honey spreads with sharp white cheddar, sliced apples, bagels, baked sweet potatoes, grilled salmon, barbequed chicken or a SPOON! Artisan Creamed Honey is made with East Tennessee Sourwood or Middle Tennessee Clover honey. My unique crystallizing recipe transforms liquid honey into a spread infused with organic ground cardamom, cinnamon, cinnamon-clove or orange essential oil. Creamed honey ignite smiles and laughter and rolling eyes with an added, "You gotta try this!" The wine term terroir – loosely translates to “a taste of place”. Honey terroir may express floral, grassy, fruity or woody flavor notes. When I make a batch of creamed honey, my culinary goal is for you to taste the unique terroir of the honey; followed by a subtle flavor of infused spice or essential oil. Are YOU prepared to experience more than sweetness? Tennessee Honey Bar refers to my Nashville Farmers Market booth where you are welcome to sample East and Middle Tennessee raw honey and pollen; samples are available at restaurants and specialty markets where ARTISAN CREAMED HONEY is served. I buy honey from family owned and operated apiaries with 800-1000 hives; they work 24-7 caring for healthy bees in the Tennessee hills and mountains. I deliver their honey to you as a value added product made by me or sold by me as an independent creamed honey artisan. I am also a beekeeper. I love invitations to schools and garden clubs; I bring my observation hives to introduce bees as our gentle and busy benefactors. We discuss conservation and “beeing” aware of how to protect honey bees and native bees from poison. IT ALL STARTED... After two years of patchy employment, I spent the summer of 2013 cultivating my unique approach to crystallizing honey. ARTISAN CREAMED HONEY debuted in October 2013 at the Nashville Women's Breakfast Club. They asked me to return to their Holiday Bizarre; where in one hour these business savvy ladies purchased $411 in creamed honey. That was the Ah-hah moment. The continued encouragement of family, dear friends and satisfied customers is rewarding. In 2015, there is genuine retail and wholesale demand for my flavor infused creamed honey. My plan for 2015 is to expand the selection of Tennessee honey to include Tennessee Mountain and Mountain Wildflower from East Tennessee. I'm looking for a unique West Tennessee honey to complete my selection. I also want to add lemon, ginger and anise to the Artisan Creamed Honey product line. This will be a gradual process that will culminate with the 2015 holiday season.
