Incorporated on August 14, 1992, Teranorth Construction & Engineering Limited rapidly became a major Ontario contractor in the road building industry. The combination of construction experience, sound engineering and a core group of dedicated, hardworking and loyal employees has developed the company into what it is today. The company has completed a diversity of projects ranging from smaller specialized projects to large provincial and municipal infrastructure. Examples of the company’s earlier projects include tunnels under Highway 11 in Engleheart, a water treatment plant in Chapleau, a sewage lagoon in Manitoulin Island, bridge rehabilitation's in Fort Francis, Atikokan, Deux Rivieres, Chalk River, Nipigon, bridge replacements in Timmins, Temagami, Webbwood. The company subsequently expanded its operations to include larger provincial and municipal capital projects, such as a highway interchange on Hwy 400/38 Wahta, Hwy 17/Long Lake Road Sudbury, a long span walkway structure over Hwy 11/17 North Bay, structures along the four lane construction on Hwy 17 Echo Bay and Sault Ste. Marie and the rehabilitation of the Hwy 11/17 Nipigon River bridge, just to name a few. Teranorth Construction & Engineering Limited completed the final link of the four laning of Hwy 11 near Burk’s Falls, Ontario, and the first phase of the four laning of Hwy 11/17 between Thunder Bay and Nipigon in 2012. Teranorth is additionally working on a major section of the four laning of Hwy 69 near Alban, a large municipal road project in the City of Greater Sudbury on Fairbank Lake Road, bridge replacements on Hwy 17 Nairn Centre, three structures in the Wawa area, two structures in Chaput Hughes and Murdock River Bridge on Hwy 607. Teranorth recently was the successful bidder on a City of Greater Sudbury project at the Lasalle/Notre Dame intersection. This project involves widening and reconstruction.
