Fair Trade Importer of Ethnic Goods

Description

We are a new, small business importing fair trade ethnic goods from around the world. We set up this project after traveling overseas to South East Asia, South America, Morocco, Nepal and India where we were impressed by the rich diversity and unique skills of the artisans and craftsmen and women we met on our journeys. We decided to set up initiatives with local crafts people and organised the shipment of small orders of high quality goods produced from their local area. Where possible, we buy directly from the artisans, thereby cutting out exploitation by middlemen and ensuring a fair price is paid for the goods. By managing the shipment logistics and communication ourselves we manage to keep our costs down, and subsequently pass this onto our customers.
