Last night's Third Thursday Fertility meeting was a success. One woman showed up and Dr. Samuel Marynick and Dr. Juan Correa - Pérez spent two hours reviewing her complicated case. We will not have a meeting in December, but will begin having meetings again in the new year. These meetings are a unique chance to meet our staff for free and ask any questions you want about IVF, fertility, and/or cryopreservation. #IVF #Fertility

Andrology/Special Chemistry Laboratory Technician Job Summary: Texas Center for Reproductive Health, which provides a full array of fertility services including andrology testing and processing, endocrinology testing, and embryology, is seeking an experienced laboratory technician to join our team in our andrology/special chemistry lab. The ideal candidate would enjoy a fast paced environment and is committed to making a difference in patient's lives. This is a full-time position working Monday - Friday from 8:00 am - 5:00 pm. The Andrology/Special Chemistry Laboratory Technician is a clinical laboratory position which serves the patient by providing precise and accurate laboratory results for the purpose of infertility assessment and management. The technician is responsible for performing Andrology/Special Chemistry laboratory services in accordance with established procedures and protocols. Responsibilities include: *Check in patients for scheduled appointments *Perform semen diagnostic tests, report and record results *Evaluate sperm morphology *Draw blood as needed *Perform routine sperm preps for inseminations *Cryopreservation of sperm *Run automated endocrine analyzer equipment and related chemistry testing *Implement laboratory quality control procedures *Assist with other laboratory duties as assigned Qualifications: Candidates should have a Bachelor’s degree in biology, chemistry, or other scientific disciplines in a related field or equivalency; Applicants with MT/MLT certification will be considered. Candidates must have knowledge of complex laboratory techniques, equipment, terminology, materials and substances; Skilled in the use of laboratory equipment, ability to create and analyze statistical calculations and prepare reports as required; and demonstrated human relations and effective communication skills also required. Applicants must demonstrate the potential ability to perform the essential functions of the job as outlined in the position description. We are so sorry that our sweet RN, Leighann, will be leaving us! However, we wish her the best of luck in her new endevour! This means.... WE HAVE BEGUN OUR SEARCH FOR THAT PERFECT LVN or RN TO JOIN OUR EXTRAORDINARY TEAM!! Ideal candidate should be skilled in starting IVs, giving injections, calculating medications, drawing blood, taking vital signs, and obtaining patient history. IVF and sonogram experience preferred, not required. Will be assisting current nurse in all aspects including managing day to day duties such as prior authorizations, pulling/filing charts, and booking appointments. If interested, please inbox us!
