Description

Dr. Kotecha has a passion for making a difference in patients’ lives. In the summer of 2013 he moved back to the Houston area after having worked at the Great Lakes Brain and Spine Institute in Michigan since 2002. He completed his neurosurgery residency at Brown University – Rhode Island Hospital in Providence, RI. Subsequently he did an intensive fellowship in Complex & Reconstructive Spine Surgery at the University of South Florida under the supervision of a world renowned spine surgeon David Cahill. The results of his research have been published in several journals including The Journal of Neurosurgery. His continued passion for learning has led him to become one of the very few neurosurgeons in the country performing endoscopic laser spine surgery. While in Michigan he developed a 5 star spine program at his hospital which is amongst the top 100 in the country. He found it extremely rewarding to interact with patients from the greater mid Michigan area, and has every intention of doing the same in the Houston area. When Dr. Kotecha has time away from work, he enjoys spending time with his wife and three children.
