The Texas Military Department is an umbrella, state-federal organization comprised of the Texas Army & Air National Guards, Texas State Guard and the Domestic Operations Command. Our Motto: "Texans Serving Texas" Our Vision: America's premier state military organization comprised of professional, unsurpassed, mission ready forces, fully engaged with our communities and relevant through and beyond 2035. The mission of the Texas Military Department (TMD) is to provide the Governor and the President with ready and trained forces in support of the citizens of Texas and State and Federal civil/military authorities at home and abroad.
