The Bay Horse is over 300 years old and was originally an old coaching inn. The courtyard and stables stood where the carpark and chalet style accomodation is located. Now a local pub the Bay Horse serves ale and food to visitors and its locals in a warm and friendly atmosphere. Alongside the pub we offer a bed and breakfast service. We offer ensuite twin, double and family rooms in a chalet style annex. The accomodation is located in a sleepy village only 4 miles from Durham City Centre which is ideal for guests visiting for the first time and of course regulars who return year after year. The rooms are comfortable, traditional and have all you need to make the most of your stay with us.
