Founded to support our rehab sanctuary, we began formulating species-specific exotic companion bird foods in 2001. Since our beginning we promised the avian community that we would not only revolutionize the way companion birds were fed, but that we would continue to research and study the natural habitat and indigenous foods of these magnificent creatures. We promised to do so in order that we could continue to improve our foods. We are keeping our promise and our co-founder, Machelle Pacion is now writing avian nutrition books based on her many years of research, study and formulation of our foods! Her first book focuses on basic avian nutrition and her second book focuses specifically on feather destruction in companion birds. Machelle also privately consults many, many bird-lovers and rescues/sanctuaries on the diets of their birds and flocks. What we bring to you and your flock today is the result of countless hours of research, formulations and laboratory testing through Eurofins Laboratories, Intl. so that your flock has the best of the freshest companion bird food on the market. Our foods are not only species-specific, they are hand-made in our facility by us, with human-grade, organic ingredients. We package our foods, and we ship from our facility to your home, rescue, sanctuary or organization. There is no middle-man. Once you place your order and receive your bird's food the food we ship to you most likely is no older than 7 days old. There is as many as 35 or more different ingredients in each of our foods with names you can read and say! All of our ingredients are either certified organic or natural (meal worms, CA-Montmorillonite Clay, Brazilian coral calcium). That means none of our ingredients contain chemical fertilizers or pesticides. We use no GMO's, no artificial preservatives, no dyes or artificial colors, no emulsifiers. When you open a bag of our food you can't help but notice the scent, the aroma of fresh herbs and spices! The next thing you will notice is the wonderful natural earthy colors.
