The Breast Care Center is an independent facility that offers both digital screening and digital diagnostic mammogram services. Physical breast exams and ultrasound services are also offered at this one convenient location. The goal of The Breast Care Center is to provide our patients with peace of mind by giving them the timeliest results possible. The Breast Care Center is accredited by the American College of Radiology and is certified by the FDA to comply with the requirements of the Mammography Quality Standards Act of 1992. One in every eight women is at risk of developing breast cancer during their lifetime. The American Cancer Society recommends a physical breast exam every three years for women between the ages of 20 to 39. If you are 40 or older, they recommend a mammogram and a physical breast exam every year. Today, screening mammograms are paid 100% by your insurance company. Physical breast exams are treated as a routine office visit and are subject to a co-pay. In most cases, we can schedule a patient for a mammogram within 24 hours of receiving the request for an appointment. We have a radiologist available to read the mammograms and determine the results while you wait. No more waiting days or weeks before you get you results. Should the mammogram show something that needs further investigation, we can do a physical breast exam right in our office or even perform an ultrasound if so indicated. Because we are an independent facility, we can refer you to a specialist of your choice or we will recommend a physician if you don’t have a preference.
