I just rec'd this email from a recent customer. Notice the last sentence. #Hedley Cold room problem. Hi Don hope you are well and busy. I tore out most of the wood in our cold room but the ceiling is covered in wood and there is some minor electrical work that is outside my skill set. I suspect there may be a leak up in the ceiling or wall. Are you able to tackle this or do you know someone who can do it? I'm pretty sure you can do anything.

Some people can make all the difference in a project. I just completed a condo project and the security guard was more than accommodating. He would tell anyone parking its reserved for The Candu Group. I just needed to buzz the back door and he would answer " Is this the Candu Group" Yes I'd reply. In the building quickly. So helpful I gave him a gift card. Typically I do not involve myself with condo projects but Tristan made it.

There's a 1st for everything as they say. Started a new project this am and as always ordered my 20 yard bin from Junk It. Unfortunately I gave the wrong address to Junk It and the bin was placed in a neighbors driveway! It took a couple hours as the driver was en route to another location but he returned. Although not before that homeowner called Junk It upset at a bin in their driveway! Thanks Jamie for resolving.

Hiring a Contractor? First, google their name to look for any red flags. Also check to see if they are in good standing with WSIB site- click on eClearance and follow through the process there. Obtain a copy of their Insurance Certificate to be sure it is current and valid. Talk to as many references as you can. Don't be fooled by a binder full of photos of their work which may or may not actually be their work. Prior to meeting the Contractor prepare your list of questions for him/her. Specifically which materials are they using & familiarize yourself with those products. When you receive your estimate is it detailed & when you email him/her or call does he/she return such in a timely manner. Do not give the Contractor a large deposit prior to job commencing. If he is established he does not require large funds to purchase materials to start your job. If he can start next week it should be red flag. Lastly they will be in your home so you must feel you can trust them 100%! #1 You must be comfortable with your Contractor.
