Hi Guys and Gals The route for Wednesday 10th August leaving the The The Cider Tree at The Coach and Horses at 18:30 is a jaunt out to The Royal Forrest. Great views and road for the Chilled and Inters and very cheeky climbs for the fast and the long. Keep in tight groups on the main roads and clear "on the right" calls if placing another group. Old signing on process this week. i.e. I will be shouting you into groups of 8 just like the old days. Make sure you are stood by your mates and only fast groups near the pub entrance please. A message from Paul Soden, Café Rene and The Coach and Horses. This does not necessarily represent the views of any of my 65 employees. I see this as the one and only chance to reclaim our Sovereignty, Economy, Democracy, Borders and Laws. The EU is a burning building, we should LEAVE and call the fire brigade. The Brits have been trying to change the EU since we joined the Common Market in 1972. It WILL NOT CHANGE EVER. If the last 44 years of membership have been so good for the UK, why are we having a referendum? Why are so many of us, so Eurosceptic? Even the ‘Remains’ want to change the EU. Cameron is a Eurosceptic, his former aide Steve Hilton has confirmed. Even now Cameron claims he can reform the EU from within, but today Jean-Claude Juncker says ‘No’. On the 72 occasions the UK has voted against a measure in the European Council has gone on to become law. Since 2010, David Cameron 0, EU Council 40, the final score line UK 0 – EU 72. Remember that after years negotiating the EU still does not have a trade deal with the US, China or India. If we were asked today if we wanted to join the EU, what would we say? The EU is NOT a FREE trading area; it has tariffs and barriers, rules and regulations and masses of red tape, it blocks imports that threaten its protectionist club, making up rules and deals for the elites and multinational companies. Only 12% of our UK companies export to Europe, but 100% of UK companies have to comply with every EU rule and regulation. 10,000 Eurocrats, who earn more than David Cameron, enjoy free private schooling, medical care, travel and housing allowances, cars on standby and free Viagra. These ivory tower people in Brussels live in cloud cuckoo land. Don’t think we are alone. Many citizens of the other 27 countries of the EU are fed up with it. Youth unemployment in Greece, Spain, Italy and Portugal is just under 50%. The EU is a job destroying machine. The debt crisis in Greece and problems with the Euro will soon be apparent in Italy and then engulf all of Europe and especially the Eurozone, while Germany watches it all. The EU is the only continent to experience 0% growth (apart from Antarctica). Britain should be a global player. We should be trading with the world and not be locked into a stagnating Europe. Our balance of payments deficit with the EU is £69bn a year, but we export to the rest of the world to make up this deficit. The European Central Bank is printing money to the tune of €60bn Euros a month to quantitively ease toxic bank debt. So much has been held back by the EU until the referendum is over. There is a £20bn black hole in the EU budget. The financial services tax will hit savers and pensioners for £4bn a year. Many vapes, that we were urged to buy to give up smoking, will become illegal. Plans for an Art tax, the regulation of vitamin C, and even a European Army. Magna Carta and habeas corpus, the right to a speedy and fair trial, the right to be innocent until proven guilty, are threatened. The risks of staying in the EU are terrifying. Project FEAR has failed. “There is nothing to fear from the EU exit, but fear itself.” Lord Lawson. All the Doom-mongering about what will happen if we leave, but remember not one single organisation or institution in the world forecast the 2007/8 sub-prime market crash that cost all the people billions of pounds and created Austerity. Since 2010, Osbourne and Cameron have doubled our national debt to £800bn to £1.6 Trillion. The banks and multinational corporations have got our money; Austerity is a lie. The EU has very complicated structures, so that WE the people cannot follow it. 5 Presidents, laws proposed by an unelected commission and rubber- stamped by 770 MEPs and no one even knows their names. We can’t even vote them out. Our democracy is in fear of becoming redundant and the mother of all parliaments will be lost forever. This is it now. Our chance to show the unelected, unaccountable (€600 million lost to fraud last year in Europe, no audited accounts for 18 years), political corporatist elite of the EU that we want to retain our democracy, economy and remain free people. Remember what a great country we are. Remember our past and history, achievement and contribution that Britain has made to the world. From the first Agricultural Revolution to the Industrial Revolution. Newton, Brunel, and Darwin to name a few of thousands. We should trade with Europe, but not be part of the United States of Europe. Trade with everyone and we will be a free, proud nation once again. Democracy and accountability are everything. I URGE YOU TO VOTE LEAVE and TAKE CONTROL to make the 23rd JUNE INDEPENDENCE DAY, PJG SODEN BA Economics. Owner of Café Réné
