A message from our Head Teacher: We have moved into our new premises and have been getting to know our new surroundings. Everyone's been so excited and it's been great seeing the students faces when they walked in for the first time. Its so different from what we're used to, with old classrooms and mobiles. We feel really privileged and proud. This is an aspirational building and we hope that reflects in students' attitudes towards their learning. Features include an outdoor amphitheatre, drama studios, a large hall with pull-out tiered seating and break out "hub" areas for personal study during and after school. There is also a dedicated sixth form study space and all classrooms boast the latest ICT equipment. Student Bushra Jalil, 14, said: "I love all the modern technology. The old school was really old-fashioned and cramped. Here, it's so spacious. All the extra spaces to work will make it easier to study. I'm going to be excited to come to school." Fellow pupil Aatikah Adam agreed. "It's really cool and so much brighter. The drama facilities are amazing," she said. Sixth former Ali Zaheer, 17, said: "In the old school, there wasn't much space and limited equipment. Here we have access to state-of-the-art equipment – it's amazing." Be happy, be ambitious, make a difference. Ms Anne Gregory
Our 16+ Open Evening is on Thursday 14th November from 5.30pm - 7.30pm. It is a great opportunity for parents and external students to view our new build and to celebrate our tremendous sixth form successes, breadth of curriculum opportunities and our superb teaching and support ethos.
Our students spent their last day in Gill and Wyvern on Tuesday, and our staff will say a final farewell to the buildings tomorrow. We start next half term in our new home, and a brand new chapter in the history of our College begins. Exciting times!
