Dr Paul Shone is our lead physician, and consultant, and qualified in medicine at the University of Birmingham in 2001 having been brought up in Widnes. He completed four years of surgical training and became a Member of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh before deciding his true calling was in the cut and thrust of Accident & Emergency. He has been a Consultant in Emergency Medicine since 2010 and is a national examiner for the College of Emergency Medicine. He gained an interest in regional anaesthetic techniques during several placements in anaesthesia throughout his senior training, and he continues to develop his expertise in the advanced usage of local anaesthesia on a daily basis whilst tending to injuries in the A&E. A true “Generalist”, Paul is equally happy managing major trauma and cardiac arrests in the resuscitation room as he is performing delicate suturing in the Clean Procedures area. Paul studied anatomy extensively when he was studying as a surgeon and reinforced this knowledge during his time in the operating theatre. These skills continue to serve Paul to this day and he is ideally placed to practice in facial non-surgical rejuvenation. He prides himself on his attention to detail and is continually striving for excellence in his clinical work. However, we now have 7 other highly trained surgeons and consultant doctors, who work between all 3 national Consultant Clinic bases for quality and consistency.
