Our gorgeous French Quarter Victorian is on the National Register of Historic Places, and is equally as famous as a tourist attraction as it is a Hotel.
The fence that stands around it was built by the original owner, Françoise-Xavier Martin, a native of Marseilles, France, in the early 1800's to ease his homesick bride's sorrow for her home state of Iowa. The Cornstalk Hotel has attracted many famous guests that include; Bill & Hillary Clinton, Richard Burton & Liz Taylor, Paul Newman & Joanne Woodward and even the "King" himself...Elvis graced the halls of The Cornstalk. The Cornstalk features beautifully appointed rooms and all the amenities a guest could hope for. Our historic and welcoming guest rooms with historic & comfortable furnishings will send you back in time. While we are known for our Victorian charm, we understand the modern business traveler. Our Wireless Network is encrypted and is compatible with all operating systems. Relax on our balcony and enjoy the sights and sounds of the French Quarter (and check an e-mail or two!).
Email us at info@The CornStalkHotel.com and we will offer exact directions and/or public transit directions from your location.

My goodness can you believe that here we sit with just a little more than 6 weeks until we come face to face with 2015? All the NY Eves seem to be a blur but I noticed that so many people really where they were NYE 1999. Me? I was at a Rodney Dangerfield show at the MGM in Las Vegas. You?
Today we begin decorating for the Holidays...nothing like The Cornstalk during this festive season.
It's new carpet installation day...working like a fury as guests check out reaccepting their rooms before new guests arrive at 3pm...whew.
It's upon us. We hope every one has a safe and sane Thanksgiving...isn't that what they say for the 4th of July? Regardless, we think of all of our friends often and fondly and wish you all the best. Look forward to seeing you all throughout the year. Just 81 days...9hours...46 minutes & 53 seconds to Mardi Gras.
Getting ready for Turkey Day in the Quarter...gonna be delightful! Happy Thanksgiving & safe travels to all of or friends! Go spread the Holiday Love around :)

Oh my goodness...what a great Day in the Quarter. All sold out...as usual. But never let that stop you from coming by & saying Hi 😃
Beautiful Monday here in the French Quarter!
November comes And November goes, With the last red berries And the first white snows. With night coming early, And dawn coming late, And ice in the bucket And frost by the gate. The fires burn And the kettles sing, And earth sinks to rest Until next spring.
BTW...if you wan to really "pitch in"...go to @CornstalkHotel on Twitter and favorite our Tweet to TripAdvisor today :) Thanks in advance!
We want to start a little test and appreciate all the help: Some doofus made a nasty, untrue post on Trip Advisor yesterday, supposedly from a stay he had back in 2013....prior to us even being there. Click on his review and there is a little flag button on the right...report it as suspicious. We'd like to see how many people call this clown on his phony review and more importantly what tripAdvisor does about it. Thanks...and we'll keep you posted on the progress.
We'd be remiss of course not to throw a Happy Father's Day out there to all the Dad's. A very special Happy Father's day to The Cornstalk's Dads, David Spencer, JW Tatum, Jr., and the prolific (father of 8) Paul Ruffino!

“New Orleans food is as delicious as the less criminal forms of sin.” -Mark Twain. What can we say ... he knew what he was talking about!
Who has time to "be up to" anything? We are the ONLY hotel in French Quarter that is sold out night after night....AND that's a good thing. We are up to offering excellent customer service to our guests.
