Evening All, this will be my last post as "The Cottage Pub Norwich", it's time to hand over the reigns to the lovely new owners, who I'm sure will do a great job at The Cottage. Maybe see you at the bar for a beer............Sally xx
Just a little 6 months on update......... Doesn't time fly, I can't believe it's 6 months since we left the pub! Well...... myself and the kids are all settled in our new home, I start a new job in a few weeks working in the office of a local school so it fits in perfectly with the children and we will have loads of "family time". At this time of year I would normally be preparing for a crazy few days at George's Fest, I might not miss the workload, but I do miss the atmosphere and you lovely people. Hopefully we will catch up soon for a mardle and a pint! Lots of Love Sally, The Kids and Buddy!
MAGSTOCK 29TH JUNE 2014 Calling all of my musically minded friends it's that time of year again when the planning for Magstock is underway. If any of you are able to play a set at this year's Magstock it would be great.....unfortunately I am only able to reward you with beer burger and maybe some petrol money. It is for a great cause....Magdalen Gates Primary School operate a no charge policy for all of the school trips so every child is able to take part. This year each class has also been able to learn a musical instrument from guitars to African drums thanks to our fundraising. Jeff Jeffers is giving up his time and providing the PA for the third year running. We have raised over £6000 in the last two years. If you can help out you can send me a message or leave a comment on here. THANKYOU ALL VERY MUCHLY XXX
A regular performer and dear friend of The Cottage was attacked while busking outside Tesco's in the city yesterday, his beloved guitar, given to him by his daughter, was smashed. This facebook group has been set up to raise funds to replace his guitar, it's all in the early stages yet but please have a look to see if there's anyway you too can help by donating or performing. The Norwich music scene is really something quite special.
Sarah Burns from The Blueberry posted this....... I know its a long shot but I will try anything to find my beloved pandora bracelet that I have lost. Its so very personal and special to me, money can not buy it. It can only be between the pub and my house. If anyone happens to go into a pawn shop and see one please let me know. Mine has special charms on from all the special people in my life. They include several hearts, silver motorbike, crown,elephant,4 leafed clover, breast cancer pink ribbon -just to name a few. I am devastated to lose it and will pay a reward to anyone who brings it back to me. Thank you xx
