My personal health issues have driven me to spend hours researching information. I have a degree in physics and I have directed small to large groups in technologies / engineering / manufacturing / operations for start-ups to large international corporations for my entire career. I understand scientific data and information and I can easily assess and come to conclusions on its validity. Lots of natural healing techniques and supplements I have tried because of great reviews of the product and knowing that supplementing with natural substances has most often either helped me or simply provided no benefit. I have tried a few things that didn't help me at all and caused problems. Often it was digestive problems. So I discontinued using those items. These problems were nothing like the problems that modern medicines and antibiotics have caused me. My personal philosophy is that I am not against using modern medicines and interventions but I do try to use natural means to promote healing whenever possible and let my body heal itself. Modern medicine is my backup. What finally drove me to finding alternative treatments was a couple of bouts with diverticulitis. The antibiotics made me sicker than the diverticulitis. When I was hit with it again 2 months later, I knew I couldn’t take antibiotics again. I also knew if I went to the doctor again, they would want to do surgery. So with the help of my natural health chiropractor and lots of personal research I made it through it and out of it using natural treatments. I am not a doctor or trained medically, so I do not prescribe or recommend that you use the products or items I mention on my website or blog. I simply write about my personal experience, what I know others have found as well and I consolidate information that I have researched into easy to read blog articles. You should take my information as a starting point and do further research to determine whether a supplement, herb, essential oil, etc. is right for you. Especially if you are under the care of a doctor, on medications or pregnant, always consult your medical doctor.
