Description

The Duke Youth Academy for Christian Formation (DYA) gives high school students the unique opportunity to engage with Duke Divinity School faculty, Christian practitioners, artists, community activists, mentors, and each other in learning how to cultivate and nourish a life of faith. Through a week-long residency at Duke University, DYA fosters an intentional Christian community that it cultivates over the next year. Together with Divinity School faculty and mentors, participants continue to study theology and Christian practice while exploring their faith in their own communities through gestures of hospitality, creative arts, servant ministry, justice, reconciliation, and reflection. DYA is thought-provoking, fun, practical, and life-changing.
