The Fair Trade Market kicked off today with a special day for our students! We had a great time, learned a lot, and supported fair trade vendors. The Market continues tomorrow and Sunday in Fellowship Hall. Spread the word!

There has been some confusion, some erroneous rumors, and some questions floating around about dates for receiving information this summer. To clarify in a wider forum than the occasional email, here are the important upcoming dates and events: By June 30th – Middle School math placement emails are sent out. By July 15th – K-8 supply lists will be emailed to parents. By July 15th – K-5 teacher assignment letters will be sent home. August 1st – New Family Picnic sponsored by the H.S.A. By August 14th – Middle School student schedules are sent home, – New version of the Community Handbook will be on PlusPortals. August 17th – Meet and Greet Evening - The K-4 families are welcome to come between 4:00 and 5:00PM, and the 5th grade can visit at 5:30PM. – The Middle School Meet and Greet may have an altered format, but more information will be forthcoming later this summer. August 19th – First full day of school for K-8th grades (Note-no staggered entry for kindergarten) August 31st -- Physicals due for all new students, all 6th and 7th graders, and all 8th grade Fall sport athletes. Please look for these communications, and others, that will update events throughout the summer. Thanks and have a relaxing and restful summer!
Thanks to Eric, Matt, Deb, Joe, Mike, and Bob who came out for the parent work day. Got the sheds painted, the athletic trailer skirting done, and three new picnic tables constructed. Hope to have another work day before school starts to prep for the new school year...its only 2 months away from Thursday 😀(sorry kids!!)

We had posted a request for work day volunteers a while ago, and we said we would let you know when...well, here's the info: Who: Workers with basic skills When: Saturday June 13th at 8AM Where: TFS at the picnic tables next to Jacoba What: repair of picnic tables, repair of dugouts, adding skirting to athletic trailer on the field, painting the sheds in the parking lot, other stuff I find for you to do. High impact lesson today in 1st grade utilizing a new iPad app. Students worked in groups to choose characters, develop a story, record voices for their characters and put it all together in an engaging way.
Tomorrow is Earth Day! We are excited to welcome many presenters from our parish and local community to share with our students about how they can be great ambassadors in caring for God's creation.
SAVE THE DATE!! The last general Home and School Association meeting for this school year will be next Wednesday April 22nd at 6:30 PM in Jacoba Hall. We will discuss the H.S.A.'s successes this year, meet the incoming board members, hear from Fr. Steve and Principal Bigelow on the "State of the School", and answer your questions.
