Once a traditional coaching inn dating back to the early 1820's, The George Inn has many original features which compliment the sympathetic modernisation and decoration. This cosy, informal pub comprises of a comfortable lounge area together with a more formal dining area. We also have a large, sunny beer garden (the largest and most secluded in Newport) which is ideal for al fresco drinking and dining. We offer first quality food including an innovative and constantly changing specials board. All dishes are designed and prepared with care and imagination and everything possible is homemade using locally sourced produce. The well stocked bar features 4 draught lagers and up to 6 real ales featuring at least 2 locally brewed favourites. Ample parking is available with Newport's largest public car park affording direct access to the pub through the secluded beer garden.
