Gerald Squires is one of Newfoundland and Labrador's most distinguished and beloved visual artists. Although he is best known for his landscapes in acrylic and oil, he has also produced major works in sculpture, lithography, and stained glass. We are also proud to exhibit the work of other local artists including George Horan, Kennth J.Harvey, Sharon Puddester, Julia Pickard and Esther Squires.

Water is vital to all life on Earth! Visit us at The Suncor Energy Fluvariumâ„¢ to explore and discover the science and mysteries of Nagle's Hill Brook and water everywhere! Come for a vist ... with your school for a curriculum-based outing, with your Guides or Scouts to earn a new badge, with your family to explore the science of water, with your friends to discover the creatures that live there or by yourself to escape from the everyday and watch the peaceful flow of the river! Here you can explore out exhibits to learn about the science of water, water habitats and how we affect those habits. Then travel under water to view a living stream as it passes by the building and enters Long Pond. Finally, discover some of the other freshwater animals that live in Newfoundland and Labrador. The Fluvarium is a project of the Quidi Vidi/Rennie's River Development Foundation (QVRRDF), a non-profit, charitable organization, formed in 1985, to restore and enhance the area along Rennie's River and Quidi Vidi Lake, in the heart of St. John's. The QVRRDF is responsible for the development of a 7.5 km walking trail system along Rennie's River/Quidi Vidi Lake.
