GIFF-FEST UPDATE Total raised for Compton Hospice was £1265.65. Thank you to the Bands, DJs, Stallholders, Volunteers, Staff, Customers and everyone else who helped us to support such a wonderful charity and raise such a fantastic amount. Thank you
Thank you to everybody that made Giff-Fest such a wonderful success. We raised a lot of money, although I can't give you a total figure just yet. It was a fabulous day, packed to capacity, great bands, great support, great atmosphere and wonderful customers. I'd like to thank all the bands who gave up their time to entertain us...you really rocked it and you did it in such style! Our Dom, who went above and beyond sound engineering, and Ted who looked after the bands upstairs with the help of Brian. Thank you. To Gary, Nigel and all the staff who worked really hard to make it a success, and to Brett for "all the devil, in all the detail". To Karl and Tim for security, gazebo erections and wristbands. Sue, Chrissy, Kev and the Burlesque girls for collecting money, selling raffle tickets and stewarding. To David Ball and Jake Worley for letting us, particularly me, wax their legs for charity. I believe there is video evidence to support this on FB! To Bonzo and Faye for an excellent job on the BBQ. To Deejay (who gave him a mirophone?) Andy, and Farlow for making us dance. A big thank you to our stallholders and Des Lane, supporting Birmingham Children's Hospital. To all the lovely people who donated prizes for our raffle, especially Giles from Inky G's for first prize of a £400 tattoo voucher, and The Coach House hair salon, thank you. To everyone else who took photos and helped directly or indirectly, a very big thank you. Have I missed anyone out? I hope not! Last but not least, a very big thank you to all of you who came to The Giffard Arms for Giff-Fest. It was a truly memorable and remarkable day, but without your support it would be nothing. It's good to know that the money we have raised this weekend, will made a big difference in other peoples lives. That's a good feeling! Thank you once again. Wendy xxx
