The Smile Foundation provides support to smaller charities across Hull and East Yorkshire. We provide charities with the skills and resources they need, as well as vital funding, to help them to develop and become more sustainable for the future.

Description

We are a small local charity that’s aim is to see other charities and projects in Hull become more successful. We want to provide others with the same opportunities larger charities have by using our skills and expertise to give the smaller charities a bigger voice. By supporting Smile your money can reach even more people as we can make it go further and last longer. We recently completed a huge project redeveloping a charity premises by matching funds with resources to deliver a £107,000 refurbishment for just over £11,000. Our philosophy is just like the old African proverb “Give a man a fish and he’ll eat for a day, teach a man to fish and he’ll eat for a lifetime.” So far we have managed to help charities and projects in many areas, including: • Down syndrome • Family support services • Post natal depression • Respite care • End of life care • Memory loss • Health education • Inshore rescue • Sports development
