What a lovely thank you card from the late Larry McDonnell
Myself and my partner always visit a wetherspoons once a fortnight when we recieve our benefits. we generally have a nice meal and due to my partners illness and the fact we are on benefits it is the only two hours out of the house we get each fortnight . However our visit to the ivor davies yesterday was just dreadful , we seated ourselves at the rear due to me being a smoker , my partner stayed seated while i went to order food , fifteen mins i waited just to be served while others were served before me , after still waiting for our order after another fifteen mins my partner wanted to use the mens room and went inside wearing the hood up on his jumper , he was cold due to not being very well and having to wait so long . He approach a worker to ask where the mens room was and was very rudely asked to remove his hood right in the middle of the restuarant for security purposes which made other customer turn to stare. It made my partner very uncomfortable and anxious. When he returned to our table visibly upset the other customers outside expressed their disgust also and obe gentleman was wearing a big bobble hat and said he had never been asked to remove iit before using the mens room etc . We wited a further 10 mins with no foid before deciding to leave . the worker that had upset my husband sorted out a refund back to my bank card with a horrid manner making us feel very uncomfortable and we also have to wait 48 hours to be refunded. While we understand about security etc theres ways and means about doibg such things and we felt very intimidated by that mans attitude , it totally ruined our only few hours out . We then had to spend a further £8 on bus fare travelling into cardiff town centre to go and spend another twenty pound at another wetherspoons .
Are you showing the Wales v Cyprus game tonight
A very big thank you to the person who handed my friends handbag over to the staff behind the bar at lunch time , she was starting to panic just a bit , but its nice to know there are honest people around and once again thank you !
