The Literature Club seeks to provide an open, communal environment for students, community members, and faculty to appreciate and enjoy literature. To this end, The Literature Club holds monthly meetings to discuss various books, poems, short stories, and other forms of narratives such as movies, theater, screenplays, video games spoken word and documentaries. The Club also hosts campus-wide events to promote literacy and is the go to organization on campus to find out about upcoming national writing contests and literature symposiums and conferences.. The Literature Club is also home to Texas A&M University-San Antonio's first Creative Writing E-Zine, Arkham Alley, "A great place to loose your mind". Our mission is to create an open community for students, members and faculty to express themselves creatively through different forms of texts and narratives. We want book lovers, move lovers, poetry lovers and story tellers to come together in a creative environment. We hope to come together with other campus organizations to discuss the impact of literature in our vast community. Additionally, we hope to provide a creative space for students to express themselves through our creative writing E-Zine, Arkham Alley.
