Attention all '75 Leopards! Robin (Cavnah) Watson is planning an event that you might be interested in! It's called the "Mad Hatter" dinner for Dave Elkins, and it's going to be held at John's Bar in Canton at 6 PM on Saturday, January 19th. As you may know, Dave has been fighting cancer for the last 9 months, and the treatments have finally robbed him of most of his hair. It's understandable that he'd want to keep his poor noggin warm during these cold winter months, but I gotta tell ya, he looks pretty tough (you know, like Telly Savalas, Bruce Willis or Vin Diesel), so I'm not gonna argue with him! Robin has created a Facebook page with all the information, so click on the link below and join the madness! If you can't make it or you're an out-of-towner like me, Dave's address is there if you'd like to send him a hat or two! Personally, I think he'd look good in a raspberry beret...or maybe a distinguished bowler...or, hey...wait a minute...as Steely Dan will tell you..."ain't never gonna do it without the fez on!" https://www.facebook.com/events/558658027479632/

As most of you already know, our classmate, David Elkins, passed away a few days ago after a valiant struggle with cancer. We post this notification here for anyone in our class or any of Dave's friends who might not have heard about this from another source. Dave was watched over and comforted in his last days by two of our other classmates, Robin (Cavnah) Watson and Dora (Bosley) Silvis, until he died peacefully in his sleep at about noon this past Wednesday, June 18th. Rest in peace my friend, we will meet again!
