Antique mounted wooden statues have a contemporary feel in the lobby, along with beautiful brass hand worked urlis or large bowls filled with floating flower petals. Old armory that is majestically mounted on the walls is a constant fascination for guests. The master artist, Mr. Ghanshyam Nimbarak, painted the beautiful gold leaf hand painted wall murals, and colorful Indian miniature paintings throughout the fort. Original paintings by renowned Indian artist, Mr. Paresh Maity are also part of the Modern art collection. The Oberoi Rajvilas is spread over 32 acres of lush green gardens. The beautiful purple Jacaranda and deep orange and yellow Gulmohar trees are splashed with the contrasting hues of bright flaming red bottlebrush trees. Rows of the beautiful Indian Amla (gooseberry) trees crown over the pathways merging with the green lawns to make a very pleasing site. Luxury Tents The Oberoi Rajvilas has 13 air-conditioned Luxury Tents that measure 45 square meters each and are surrounded by a private garden. The tent features an elegantly appointed bedroom with a king size bed, a dressing room with a walk-in closet and a bathroom with a double vanity counter, a free-standing, claw footed bathtub and separate shower stall. The interiors of the tents are beautifully appointed with block printed and hand embroidered fabrics and timber flooring. Additional amenities include a refrigerated private bar, satellite TV, compact disc and DVD player, in room safe, tea and coffee making facility and twin telephone lines. Each tent offers a private terrace and a garden around the perimeter surrounded by a traditional Rajasthani mud wall. Royal Tent The Royal Tent measures 650 square meters and includes a private patio surrounded by a private garden ideal for el fresco dining. The air-conditioned bedroom tent has spacious interior with timber flooring. The en suite four fixture bathroom includes a free-standing claw footed bathtub and a separate shower cubicle. Additional amenities include a refrigerated private bar, television, CD and DVD player, in-room safe, two line telephones and tea and coffee making facility. The elegantly appointed, air-conditioned living room is separate and includes a dining table that seats six guests, an intimate lounge area, a writing desk with a chair and a powder room.
