A Legend in the Heart of the City The Old Church is a historic concert hall located in downtown Portland’s cultural West End. We are just steps away from urban parks, upscale hotels and city nightlife. Ample guest parking and catering access is available. For decades this iconic building at S.W. 11th Avenue and Clay Street has brought people together. We host a free weekly classical concert Wednesdays at noon, as well as a variety of musical genres, lectures and other events. Check the calendar on our website for all the details. We have AC and a wine/beer bar and some of the best acoustics in town. Beautiful spaces and elegant details provide the perfect backdrop for performances, social gatherings and special photography and film. A private dressing room and Victorian parlour add to the charm.

General Info
The Old Church Concert Hall is a historic landmark (1882) and music venue. It has not been a religious institution since it was saved from the wrecking ball in the 1960's and restored to its former glory by a group of artists who formed The Old Church Society. Classical, jazz, alternative and all types of acoustic music are performed here. Audiences enjoy stellar acoustics with a world-class sound and lighting system. We also rent the space for theatrical readings, lectures, receptions and weddings. We house the first pipe organ in Portland, a 7' concert Steinway grand piano, a Victorian baby grand, a harmonium and an upright honky-tonk piano. The building is wheel chair accessible, and we are licensed to serve beer and wine. To sign up for our email news and learn about all the great concerts and events go to theoldchurch.org and join.
