The Old Dub Shop was born in 2008 by me Clive Allen, with a passion for honesty when it comes restoring peoples pride and joy. Whether its a service or a full restoration we treat it with the respect that a classic VW or Porsche deserves. Not just classic VW’s, all cars are welcome at the shop as our knowledge in the motor mechanic industry extends beyond the realms of VW’s At The Dub Shop we realise that owning a VW is more than just having a car, it’s a way of life and often form memories that will stay with there owners and there family’s for life, they are that holiday , that day out or that weekend away that lives long in the heart. With the facility to carry out full restorations in including having one of the south west’s best paint sprayers we can and do produce some of the finest show winning vehicles on the scene. If it’s a well finished painted van that is super straight or a shiny Type 3 or beetle then we can cater for all tastes. We have also imported some of the finest “og” paint buses in the UK and with contacts in several countries around the world sourcing your next project or dream vehicle can also be achieved. But it’s not all work, work, work, when it comes to show season we do like to get along to as many shows as possible and enjoy them to the max, and having young Spencer on the team it always turns out to be a blast. The Old Dub Shop has sponsored many shows such as “cruise to the Prom” ,“DubAid” and “Bristol Volksfest” and look forward to supporting future events. The Old Dub Shop has slowly been expanding over the years from one unit to now consuming several, with some great projects tucked away as well as some rather collectable spare and hard to find parts. we have worked hard to expand and grow the business in a challenging economic climate and with honest and trustworthy staff has all the ingredients for a successful future. Clive says “It’s all about protecting your investment and giving people an honest and genuine service, that is what I wanted from a garage and hopefully It’s what we supply” . So if it’s slamming your bus and fitting air-ride suspension or replacing a worn out fuel lines and sparks plugs or just if you just want to come down for advice and a chat The Old Dub Shop is your one stop shop.
