2014 Season GUYS AND DOLLS - 19 to 27 July 2014 SHOW BOAT - 16 to 24 August 2014 LA CAGE AUX FOLLES - 22 November - 7 December 2014 In our sixteenth year, we have chosen three of my favourite Broadway musicals with some of my most cherished production teams and performers. To meet the increasing demand for seats this season we are introducing four additional subscription series. These new series will be a Wednesday matinee series and three new series on the weekends. Details are set out in the booking information section of this brochure as well as in the booking form itself. Gale Edwards, who has thrilled us in the last couple of years with her productions of Chess and Gypsy, returns to open our season with Guys and Dolls. Our founding Director, Roger Hodgman focuses his theatrical genius on Show Boat (I had the LP as a child and know every word of every song so look out!) and Dean Bryant (The Producers, The Pirates of Penzance) returns to direct a compelling staging of La Cage Aux Folles. Our musical directors are Guy Simpson, Kellie Dickerson and Mathew Frank and our choreographers are Nathan M. Wright, Dana Jolly and Andrew Hallsworth. Verity Hunt-Ballard, who toured Australia as Mary Poppins, Martin Crewes (Chess), Adam Murphy (The Pirates of Penzance) and Chelsea Plumley (Promises, Promises) star in Guys and Dolls. Alinta Chidzey (Singin’ in the Rain), Gareth Keegan (The Pirates of Penzance) and Christina O’Neill are our stars of Show Boat. Starring as Georges and Albin in La Cage Aux Folles will be two of Australia’s leading men, Simon Burke and Todd McKenney. Last year we introduced half price tickets for anyone under the age of eighteen, an initiative I am pleased to continue.
