From its humble beginnings as a cattle shed (and also a brothel if rumours are the be believed) the historic back room at The Railway has, over the years, played host to some of the greatest names in modern music. Equipped with a top-spec PA and lighting rig, this underground venue is the perfect environment to experience live music of any genre - while the newly opened upstairs venue "The Attic" has been specifically designed for acousic acts and small private gatherings...if this wasn't enough we are also home to Winchester's only alternative bar, serving all you would expect at reasonable prices. The Railway has ample free parking and is situated just a few minutes walk from Winchester Railway Station.
