Description

Established by Dr. Brad Kerwin in 1978 and incorporated in 1979, The Reading Company was founded with the desire to supplement the education of Hawaii's youth. It is our mission to guide and assist students as they follow their individual paths of learning who they are, what they want to know, and who they want to be. Ultimately, we are a college-bound program. At The Reading Company, we believe that all people should be lifelong learners. Research shows that students who attend college have better health, are happier and have a better quality of life than those who do not. We have decades of experience in SAT and ACT test preparation, interview preparation, and the entire college application process. Hawaii has a great private school system, but the process of applying your child to private school can be difficult. The Reading Company has extensive background in preparing students for the SSAT, a test required by many schools in the Hawaii Association of Independent Schools. We are Hawaii's premiere resource for guiding students and families through the application process for primary, elementary, and secondary school.
