Description

Are you like many of us who live in past glory ? Using the famous pictures of our amazing shaheeds on our Facebook profiles? Are you knowingly or unknowingly neglecting the great family's who gave birth to these warriors? Want to make a difference and be part of a PANTHIC TEAM? Want to help change someone's life? Want to help the family's who need our love the most? Keep reading..... We will doing a 8 month project raising funds via Khalsa Aid for the family's of our beloved shaheeds who gave there life for the panth. Target - we don't like to put a target on things like this but for direction and a long term goal we would like to reach a target of sponsoring a minimum of 50 family's for just £35 per month by the 30 year 1984 Genocide anniversary. Here how to get involved: 1) PM us or email respectcampaign@khalsaaid.org 2) We will provide you with info on what the £35 will be spent on and how much of a difference a small amount of money can make to a family stuck in poverty 3) Tell us the number of family's you would like to sponsor and set up a direct debit online or via paper mandate. Ref the respect campaign. Khalsa Aid will inform you with the details of the family being sponsored once this has been set up 4) We humbly ask you for your input on any fund raising activities we can arrange. Secondly your mission would be to encourage at least 2 'new' friends or family to sponsor a family before June 2014. This is very doable and will help us deliver our promise to help 50 families. 5) Awareness is key! Every time we receive a new sponsor we will make an announcement and do a count down ! Please share this as it creates a collective sense of belonging and engages more people to be involved in this humanitarian cause 6) We can organise a time next spring/summer to fly over to panjab and visit the families. If you are in panjab with family or friends we urge you to go and show some love to the parivaars 7) Please do ardass for the Chardi kala of these families . Vaheguru

General Info

Khalsa Aid launched the Shaheed Parivaar Aid in January 2011 and today KA are finacially supporting over 100 families and this number is rising every week. These are the mothers, fathers, wives and children of the Shaheeds who have neglected from the late-90s onwards. Khalsa Aid is also re-building the houses for some of the worst cases of neglect. The sight of a mother of a Shaheed living in a run down house with no electric, water and living on hand-outs from her neighbors is a constant reminder how the Panth has filed them. These folks are ridden with sickness through a life of poor diet and total neglect of medical attention and now they are dying in poverty. To sponsor a family please email respectcampaign@khalsaaid.org
