Description
The Roosevelt Hotel Bar was named in honor of The Roosevelt Hotel, our neighbor to the right of our front door from 1923 - 1965. In 1965, a change in ownership led to The Roosevelt, originally opened as "The Grunewald," to be renamed as "The Fairmont," A name that would last until 2007. Not wanting time to wipe history away, our owner named our humble bar "The Roosevelt Hotel Bar," in honor of the former hotel, an ode to the history of our block here in New Orleans.
