Description

We will cook for you, bake cakes for you, make your coffee just how you like it, sell you that book you've been hunting for and buy the paper. We will play great music, tell you where the guitar is so you can unleash your inner folkie and tell you the password for the wi-fi. REGULAR HAPPENINGS THURSDAY SUPPER As the name Suggests, it is every Thursday from 6pm. Delicious home cooked hearty suppers. Dinner, cake and BYO for the purse friendly price of £7.50 per head. BOOK CLUB Last Thursday of every month We like that we're a bookshop with a book club. It kinda make sense to us. A group of budding readers meet every month after reading a book selected by the Book Club. A friendly bunch who welcome newcomers. Check our website for the chosen books. Feel free to bring a bottle. Book Club books are available to buy from us. SHIPPING FORECAST Second Thursday of the month (expect in the steamy summer months when stan escapes to Scotland for some fresh air). It is an open mic event of of poetry, prose, music, performance, raffles and fun. CUPIDS IN NOOSES - ANTI-VALENTINE'S FESTIVAL This annual event is held on the weekend closest to Valentine's Day. The next one will be 10th - 12th February 2012. We'll be hosting live music interjected with poetry, prose and comedy. They’ll be tears in jars, broken hearts, dead flowers, fancy dress, balloons, cake, meals for one, cupids in nooses, literature and our world famous poetry competition.
