NOW TAKING RESERVATIONS! The Shady Oak Inn is located less than a quarter mile from one of the sandiest beaches that Lake Texoma has to offer on the Oklahoma side of the lake. We offer our guests lodging at an affordable rate during the week and a breakfast package on the weekends. Our inn is separate from our house so our guests can enjoy their privacy. The inn is a large room with two queen size beds and a private bathroom with a stand up shower. The common area is a covered patio that is equipped with a refrigerator, microwave, convection oven, sink, coffee maker and commercial grade griddle. We can accommodate up to four guests, but are willing to make an exception for families with multiple children. We are not your typical bed and breakfast! We are kid-friendly and have a chain-link fenced in yard. We also realize that some people do not eat breakfast, so why should we charge you for a breakfast if you're not going to eat? A: Less than a quarter of a mile! You can easily walk to the beach, or you can drive. There is plenty of parking at the beach. Q: Do I have to pay for breakfast? A: Absolutely not! If you want to bring your own food to prepare your meals that is fine with us! Please check under "General Information" for rates. Q: Can I bring beer/alcohol? A: Yes. However, underage drinking is strictly prohibited and you will be asked to leave if this policy is violated. Q: I have a small dog that is house broke, can I bring her with me? A: We love animals. However, there may be a future guest who may be allergic to pet dander and I would hate for them not to enjoy their stay because your dog (or any other type of animal) was once in the inn. Sorry, but we can't make exceptions! Q: Do you have a smoking room? A: No, our inn is a non-smoking room. However, you may smoke in the common area. Q: I have a boat that I would like to bring. Is there a place I can park it? A: We have plenty of room to park your boat for the evening! Feel free to bring it! Q: We are going fishing. Do you have a freezer that we can store our fish in? A: Yes. However, all fish must be in sealed bags prior to being placed in the freezer. Q: I want to surprise my significant other with a romantic weekend. Can you help me with that? A: Yes, there are a couple gas stations, restaurants, and even a Dollar General approximately five minutes away! Q: I plan on being on the lake all day. ABOUT THE INNKEEPERS The Shady Oak Inn is owned and operated by Greg and Felicia Conner. We have been full time residents near Lake Texoma for a year and a half. Upon moving here we would occasionally comment that our house would be an ideal location for a bed and breakfast. Our first summer at our lake house involved having friends and family visit us virtually every weekend because of our ideal location near the sandy beach. During the fall of 2012 we decided to make our vision a reality and share our lake home with others. At that time we began making the necessary improvements to ensure our guests would enjoy their stay with us. We have a son who lights up our lives, along with a dog named....Shady (who is very friendly and has never been allowed in the inn)! Greg is the owner of Texoma Remodeling LLC and is a jack-of-all-trades when it comes to construction. Greg's hobbies include fishing, playing guitar and singing (he may play for you if you ask!), and snowboarding. Felicia juggles selling real estate along with caring for our son full-time. Felicia's hobbies include reading, watching movies, blogging, and making jewelry. We look forward to meeting you!
