Description

We are immigrant women who write memoirs of arrival in Canada through the lens of shoes. By sharing our stories we inspire open communication among Canadians of all backgrounds. By giving voice to our personal experiences we will become a part of the national conversation.

The Shoe Project was initiated and is directed by award-winning novelist Katherine Govier. It is hosted by Toronto's Bata Shoe Museum and operates under the Mary A. Tidlund Foundation.
