We are now in the process of notifying the winners of the Writing Contest. Congrats to those who have won!
The entries are with the judges. Who will win? Find out at the October Awards forum on October 19th.
Ok someone told me that the reason they mail their entries in at the last minute is so that the judges will remember their stories. It doesn't work that way. Once they have all arrived, they are issued a number, and placed in a stack. Then the stack is given to the judges. They do not know who wrote what or when. Only the Contest Chair has all of the info. So if, for example 25 is chosen, then I look at my records and inform the winner. There is no advantage to waiting to get your entry in! So get them in, before you forget and it is too late. Good luck!
The Writing Contest deadline is TWO weeks away! Get your entries in! They must be postmarked by Aug 15th in order to qualify. $15 for each submission. You could win hundreds of dollars!
