Dear Parents and Carers “Our New School” Over the summer holidays the pace of change on the Birstall campus has remained high. Longslade has been given the go ahead to join the Lionheart Academies Trust. This now enables the trust to develop its vision of a new 11 – 19 establishment on this site opening at the end of August 2015. We are anxious to include the whole community in these developments and we are committed to keeping you informed. Please check our website regularly for updates. The very first important decision is what to call the new school. We are consulting with governors, pupils, parents and staff. Attached is a consultation form to be completed and returned by Thursday 4th September 9.00am. We are very excited about these changes which bring the sense of certainty which we have been seeking over the last few years. Yours sincerely Alan Monks – Headteacher http://is.gd/pVQ0CG
