Friendly and affordable photography studio space in the centre of Leeds, providing everything from an empty studio to a full promo shoot.

Description

UpStaged Leeds and Under Your Skin Photography have collaborated to bring this friendly and affordable photographic studio to the centre of Leeds. Situated above UpStaged Vintage, behind Leeds Corn Exchange, this location is ideal for freelance and product photographers in need of a one-off studio space, as well as models, clothing and jewellery designers, performers and art-based/enthusiast photographers who wish to expand their range of work. A full product photography and processing/re-touching service is also available in-house. All alternative themes are welcome. The space can be used as is, or with any of the options below. The Studio: a fully-enclosed room, big enough for groups up to 3/4 people, ideal for products, clothing, portraits and headshots, which also has the benefit of being completely private for e.g. pin-up, pregnancy shoots etc: 4m x 3m with full-width seamless backdrop. Prices (studio use, including lights and accessories): £15 - 1 hour £50 - half day (4 hours) £90 - full day (7 hours) Lighting options: 2 x Pro Line Apollo X-180 studio flash with radio triggers (works from all cameras) Ianiro 'Redhead' professional studio spotlight - a warmer, stage light Canon Speedlite 430 EXII flashgun with cable (ETTL) connection or radio triggers A choice of softboxes, modifiers and lighting umbrellas Barn door fitments with a wide range of colour gels Smoke machine available on request (extra charge) All equipment is PAT tested. Extras: Hair and make-up stylists* to suit all budgets Props (especially vintage) - if we don't have it, we can help you find it Models available* (in all shapes and sizes!) (*Some models and stylists may work free of charge in return for portfolio shots) Technical & Photography (at extra cost): Technical support during your shoot Photography - you call the shots and we take them In-house processing of digital images while-you-wait Portraits and product photography Vintage photography - black & white film or Polaroid Prices given per job for the above - please contact us. Full promotional shoots: a combination of any of the above. Photography tuition: Many places charge up to £50 an hour for tuition, or hundreds of pounds for a short, basic course within a group, with a fixed programme that may not fully suit your needs. One-to-one tuition at The Studio Upstairs - tailored to your needs - is £30 per hour including studio hire. For example, you can bring whatever/whoever you want to photograph and be guided as you work, resulting in better shots from your session and a better understanding of photography. Deposit: On booking - 25% of the total fee. Equipment - You can either leave a £150 cash deposit when you arrive, or leave a credit/debit card with us. Your card will be checked to ensure payment is available but NO CHARGE WILL BE MADE unless deductions are made for damage to equipment.
